Linda Nell Manes

She was born on May 28, 1953 in Sikeston, MO. to the late Clyde “Peck” and Treva Williams Wisdom.

On October 10, 1969 in Tiptonville, TN. she married Terry Manes who survives of the home in Essex, MO. They were happily married for 52 years.

Linda had worked as a Special Education teacher at East Prairie, Richland and Sikeston Public Schools. She also taught at Southeast Correctional Center.

Other survivors include one son, Terry L. (Tammy) Manes of Essex, MO.; one daughter, Lori (Darrin) Knox of Essex, MO.; three brothers, Gale (Sheila) Wisdom of Jackson, MO., Clyde (Jan) Wisdom of Sikeston, MO. and Greg (Pam) Wisdom of Sikeston, MO.; one sister, Nancy (Charlie) Driskill of Sikeston MO.; four grandchildren, Regan (Sahap) Ekici, Michael Manes, Shawn Knox and Cody Knox. She also will be missed by her best friend, “Buddy dog”.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. where funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Bro. James Malloy, officiating.

Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.

Pallbearers will be Jason Wisdom, Jered Wisdom, Josh Wisdom, Ryan Merideth, Ross Merideth and Clay Driskill.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Knox, Michael Manes, Cody Knox, Dustin Woeltje and Sahap Ekici.
