He was born on February 15, 1944 in Sikeston, MO. to the late Ernest and Ruth Scudder King.
On July 7, 1998 in Las Vegas, NV. he married Carole Church King who survives of the home in Chaffee, MO.
Larry was a retired farmer. He loved the outdoors, he especially enjoyed crappie fishing. Larry received numerous awards for farming throughout the years, one was the Jaycees Distinguished Farmer of the Year.
Other survivors include one son, Andy (Jennifer) King of Cape Girardeau, MO.; two step-sons, Kenny (Daun) Brewer of Sikeston, MO. and Paul Brewer of Ozark, MO.; one step-daughter, Kim (Shawn) Glastetter of Chaffee, MO.; two brothers, Benny (Sherry) King of O’ Fallon, MO. and Bobby (Betty) King of Red Oak, TX. ; two sisters, June King of Sikeston, MO. and Glenda (Charles) Barwick of Panacea, FL.; six grandchildren, Dylan King of St. Louis, MO., Sydney King of Cape Girardeau, MO., Brooke Obermann (Rhett) of Cape Girardeau, MO., Brandi Glastetter of Chaffee, MO., Braydon Brewer of Ozark, MO. and Amanda King of Essex, MO.; two great-granddaughters, Kendle King of Essex, MO. and Riley Obermann of Cape Girardeau, MO.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Tim King and one brother, Lendell King.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. Benny King, officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, MO.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Brewer, Dylan King, Shawn Glastetter, Tim Church, Boyce Church and Clay Church.
