Jimmy Western

Jimmy Lee Western, age 69, formerly of Bertrand, died August 27, 2015, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. Born August 5, 1946, in Mississippi County, to the late Jim and Carrie Carlisle Western, he was a carpenter. On June 12, 1966, in Mississippi County, he married Wilma Sue Morse, who preceded him in death February 4, 1989.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Christi and Scott Henderson of Sikeston; one brother, Carl Gene Western of Bertrand; and two sisters, Burma Baker of Jackson and Mable Holmes of Sikeston. Two grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Western, Harbert Western, Lloyd Western and Bill Western; and two sisters, Linda Ramsey and Almalee Smith.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, August 31, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Henderson, Brad Henderson, David Western, Dave Hart, Stanley Declue and Mike Ramsey.
