She was born on August 13, 1958, in Bloomfield, MO to the late Jesse “JP” and Ethelyne “Effie” Cooper Scherffius.
On May 16, 1981, in Bell City, MO she married Frank Moran Reid who preceded her in death on April 18, 2024.
She is survived by two sisters, Carol (Jim) Clark of Bell City, MO and Karen (Ronnie) Blurton of Sikeston, MO; one daughter, Tonda (Eric) Johnson of Poplar Bluff, MO; one step granddaughter, Bria (Nathan) Rodgers; one great grandson, Nolan Rogers; four nieces, Jade Blurton, Alli Blurton, Ashley Clark and Hailee Clark; five great nieces, Lily Blurton, Carly Clark, Layla Clark,Caylee Clark and Adeline Clark; three nephews, Aaron Clark, Terry Clark and Jacob (Delaney) Clark and two great nephews, Preston Clark and Hudson Clark.
Based on Ila’s wishes no services will be held.
