Frances Allieen Smith

She was born on November 16, 1938, in Neelyville, MO to the late Edgar Gene and Mildrid Margaret Lane Donica.

On September 6, 1957, in Qulin, MO she married James Vernon Smith who preceded her in death on January 7, 2021.

She retired after 22 years as a teacher at Scott County Central Schools.

She was a member of the Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, MO.

She is survived by two sons, Cole (Rose) Smith of Sikeston, MO and Lane Smith of Sikeston, MO; one brother, Freddie Eugene Donica of Cedar Hill, MO; one sister, Betty Carole (Gordon) Wright of Kimberling City, MO; five grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Jacob Smith, Josh Middleton, Michael (Jayme) Abbott and Allen (Chasity) Abbott and six great grandchildren, Sophia Abbott, Natalie Abbott, Hailey Abbott, Lottie Abbott, River Middleton and Meadow Middleton.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, MO with minister Johnny Hester and Keith Olbricht, pastor of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, MO officiating.

A private interment will be held at a later date at the Bloomfield Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
