On November 24, 1940, he married Willene Rettig who survives of the home. Other survivors include three sons, Ron Miller of West Plains, Mo., Lyle Miller (Elaine) of Circleville, Ohio, and Roy Miller (Linda) of Sikeston; one daughter, Sharron Mallot (Leonard) of Oviedo, Fla.; daughter-in-law Jan Miller of Sikeston; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren; and two sisters, Odessa Jones of Morley and Novella Yates of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Ferrell was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Miller, of Sikeston; two sisters, Connie Havener and Jewel Bennett; and three brothers, C.C. Miller, Gladys Miller and Odell Miller.
He worked as manager of Pepsi Cola Bottling Company for 35 years and was a member of the Rotary Club for over 20 years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and then volunteered to start the Eastside Church of the Nazarene. He served on the Board as Sunday School Superintendent and Treasurer and received the Distinguished Service Award, which is the highest honor given to a layman in the church.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 6, from 5-8 p.m at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, at 10 a.m., with Reverend Bryan Ayers, officiating.
Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.
