Margaret Ethelda Streatch

STREATCH, (Stoddard), Margaret Ethelda – 93, Elderbank, passed away in Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit, on May 22, 2012. Born in Head of Jeddore, she was a daughter of the late Maurice Edmund and Hazel (Mosher) Stoddard. Margaret was an amazing strength to her husband Jim and family and played an active role in the family business. Margaret was recognized by the U.C.W. at their 50th Anniversary as a life time member. Margaret is survived by daughters Sharon (Kindervater) Howard and her husband Paul, Marion (Fred) Somerville, sons Kenneth (Donna) Streatch, Alan (Cathy) Streatch, 19 grandchildren, Steve (Marilyn) Streatch, Janette Miller, Judy Streatch (Gerald Keddy), Karen (Wayne) Theriault, Andy (Leanne) Streatch, Rhonda Grant-Shaw (Michael), Derek (Staci) Kindervater, Colleen Kindervater, Nadine Henderson-Foote (Brian), Deanna Henderson, Dr. Annette Henderson (Dr. Iannick) Monfils, Christina (Geoffrey Alders), Kimberly (John) Wall, Christopher Somerville, Alisha Somerville, Ryan Streatch, Todd Streatch, Natasha Streatch, Shaylyn Streatch, 2 step-grandchildren Michael (Trish) Blackburn and Sharon (Curtis) Isenor; 43 great grandchildren and 1great great granddaughter, sister Kaye (Ron) Smith , many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James “Jim” Streatch, daughter Donna, daughter-in-law Barb, grandsons-in-law Brent and Craig, 1 great granddaughter Melissa, sisters Bertha, Eva, Francis, Isabel, brothers Maurice “Bud”, Edmund “Ed” , John and Karl. A special thank you to the Doctors and Caregivers of Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital and Braeside Home for Special Care, for the excellent care given to our mother. Visitation 3-5pm, Saturday, May 26, in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, (exit 10 off highway102) with funeral service 2pm, Sunday, in St. Andrews United Church, Elderbank, Rev. Joan Griffin officiating. Interment in the Elderbank Cemetery, Elderbank.
