Donna Marie Hamblin

HAMBLIN (MACDONALD),Donna Marie – 52, Eastern Passage, passed away suddenly at home on October 11, 2012. Born in Soest, Germany, she was a daughter of Earl MacDonald, Middle Musquodoboit and the late Maurina (Turner) MacDonald. Donna was a caring, compassionate person, who always put the needs of others before herself. She carried these traits into her work as a personal support worker. Donna’s strength of character always prevailed through life’s challenges. She will be sadly missed by daughter, Holly Taylor (Christian Radford), Calgary, AB; sons Joshua Taylor (Mallory Smithers), London, ON; Noah Hamblin (Brittany Ritcy), Calgary, AB; grandsons, Unity Taylor and Chase Taylor; sister, Patricia Parnell (Bill Jones), Stewiacke; brothers Patrick (Gen) MacDonald, Stewiacke; Joseph (Kelly) MacDonald, Porters Lake; Fred (Debbie) Turner, Enfield; sister-in-law, Jean Turner, Coldstream; half-sisters, Jennette and Tracy Peck, Willoughby, Ohio; two nieces and many nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Earl MacDonald Jr. and her biological mother Doris (Haupt) Peck. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Wednesday, October 17, in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. The funeral service will be held at 2pm, Thursday, October 18, in Shubenacadie United Church, 2869 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, M. Dale Crawford officiating. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. Reception to follow at the Shubenacadie United Church Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
