SHREVEPORT, LA – Thomas Peyton “Pate”, 88, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2012.He was born in Ennis TX on November 30, 1924 to the late Robert Hinton and Vera Dooley Ridley. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Blakely and John Higginbotham.
Mr. Ridley served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a member of the 360th Service Group serving his time in the Pacific Theater. After the service he was an accountant with Superior Iron Works and Supply Company retiring after 38 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn Harvard Ridley; one son, Paul Robert Ridley and wife Chris; one daughter, Cathy Ridley Bonds and husband Wade; two grandchildren, Cami Ridley Winkelspecht and husband Chris and Kelly Ridley Palmer and husband Joseph, one great-grandchild, Caroline Winkelspecht ; one nephew and three nieces.
