SHREVEPORT, LA – Services to celebrate the life of Linda Chandler Slough, 72, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 3, 2012, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Treadway officiating. Graveside services will follow in Bethseda Cemetery in Ida, LA at 12:30 p.m. The family will receive guests on Sunday evening between the hours of 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Linda was born on August 11, 1940, in Ida, LA to parents, Jonathan Homer Chandler and Morris (Hooper) Chandler and passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012.
Linda loved spending time with friends. She always shared fond memories of fishing, gardening and working with her second family at Red River Motor Co. Most of all, Linda cherished every minute spent with family. She loved each and every member uniquely making everyone feel an exceptional love that only she could give.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Slough; sister, Virginia Pearson; brother, Homer Chandler; and her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Brad Pearson and wife, Ingrid; daughter, Jeri Smith and husband, Todd; sister, Sybil Cannatella; grandchildren, Sandi Curtiss, Danielle Curtiss Bennett and husband, Billy, Blake Pearson, Brianna Pearson, and Connor Smith; great-grandchild, Adam Curtiss; and nephews, David Pearson, Mike Chandler, and Chris Chandler.
Honoring Mrs. Slough as pallbearers are Brad Pearson, David Pearson, Mike Chandler, Chris Chandler, Todd Smith, and Billy Bennett.
