A Celebration of Life for Garry Marvin Brantly will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Hill Crest Memorial Blanchard Chapel, 356 Warriner Ave. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. until service time.
Garry was born on May 11, 1957 in Homer, LA. He graduated from Northwood High School in 1975 and went on to graduate as a journeyman electrician with IBEW Local 194. He retired from UOP in 2003.
He was a member of the Dutchtown Hunting Club since 1987, where he enjoyed his passion for hunting and practical jokes. Of course, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife, Paula, their children and being Papa to his eight grandchildren.
Garry is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Dee Brantly; brother, Galen Brantly; his mother and father-in-law, Ted and Betty Walsworth.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Brantly; daughter, Lauren Brantly DePriest and husband Jonathan; sons, Hunter Brantly and wife Mallory and Collin Brantly and wife Carolyn; grandchildren, Parker, Brodie, Mason and Brantly DePriest, Amelia and Williams Brantly, Cole and Claire Brantly; brother, Tim Brantly and wife Lisa and numerous nieces and nephews.
