David Michael Beasley born November 7, 1949 to Vernon Frank Beasley and Mary Cecil Pinckard Beasley went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the age of 74. He was a lifelong resident of Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School, following High School, he attended Louisiana Tech, where he pledged as a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) before he graduated from LSU Shreveport. He retired after working many years as a Manager at Center Point Energy and was Past President of the American School of Gas Measurement Technology. David embodied the values of brotherhood, integrity, and charitable service. He served with dedication as a former Master of Broadmoor Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite.
David enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a master of the grill and delighted in cooking for everyone. His travels took him far and wide, but Gulf Shores and their camp house on Cross Lake was the special places he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. One of his proudest achievements was his homemade pepper sauce. Beyond his hobbies, he was a devoted family man, sharing his love and wisdom with all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering support to his family was unmatched and will be forever remembered.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Anne Beasley; sons, Paul Beasley and wife, Sarah, Michael Beasley and wife, Heather, and Jeffrey Beasley and wife, Carrie; daughter, Catherine Beasley; four grandchildren who knew him as Paw-Paw, Caroline Graham Beasley, Nola Estelle Beasley, Jaxson Matthew Beasley and Addison Rae Beasley; he is predeceased by his brother Vernon Beasley and leaves his brother, James Beasley and wife Rhodi; brother-in-law, Fred Ratzburg and sister-in-law, Ginger Cook. He also leaves his cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, fishing buddies and countless friends.
A visitation for David will be held Monday, June 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial at 12:00 PM. Brother Brad Kirby of Eastwood Baptist Church will be officiating the service.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Devan, Pete Young, John Cole and Fred Ratzburg. A special mention to the Fish Camp crew and to a close family friend in Bobbi Jean.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Scott Boniol and his staff at the Cancer Treatment Center, the CCU staff at Christus Hospital and Grace Home Hospice for their tremendous care and compassion shown to David and his family.
