Mrs. Dunbar was a true woman of God. She was a very devoted Christian and her church came first. She was a member of King’s Temple for 44 years. She could reassure and comfort anyone in a time of need.
Mrs. Dunbar married Calvin Montie Dunbar at the age of 16 on July 24, 1941. They were married for 65 years. They vacationed and traveled the Ozark Mountains where she felt at home. She was very devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved walking her bluebird trail with her husband, holding baby birds and keeping journals on them. She loved growing things in her garden, record setting tomatoes, vegetables, roses, tulips, day lilies, and her father’s hydrangeas which she has kept alive all these years. She could grow anything and bring anything back to life.
Mrs. Dunbar was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Lyloth Wrigglesworth and Wanda Carter. She is survived by her children, Montie Dale Dunbar, Patricia Ann Dunbar and Shirley Irene Bernadini and husband John; grandchildren, John Timothy Bernadini, II and wife Rebecca and Chelsea Ann Alexander and husband David; five grand-grandsons; a sister, Sue Weaver Arthur and husband Linwood; a brother, Bill Weaver and wife Shirley; her church family; her granddog, Woodstock; and many friends.
