Leroy Hagendorf

Cremation Rites are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Trinity Church, New Bielau, Texas

Leroy was born on January 28, 1929 in Shiner, Texas He was the son of Robert William and Matilda (Stock) Hagendorf. Leroy married Margie Balusek on February 3, 1948 at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church Rectory in Shiner, Texas. Leroy was a Rancher for 10 years. He would pass time doing jig-saw puzzles and yardwork. He enjoyed woodworking and going camping. He owned and operated Hagendorf Construction for 30 years. Leroy was involved with Shiner Young Farmers for many years. He was an easygoing gentleman with a loveable personality. After retirement, Leroy helped senior citizens by driving them to appointments or wherever they needed to go.

Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 67 years; Margie Hagendorf, one son; Darrel Hagendorf and his wife, Suzanne of Boerne, Texas, one daughter; Carolyn Goldstein and her husband, Charlie of Weimar, Texas, two grandsons; Alton Georg and his wife, Kim of Dayton, Ohio, Zachary Cook of Boerne, Texas, two Granddaughters; Trisha Birdsong and her husband, Gregg of Cypress, Texas, Marissa Cook of San Antonio, Texas, four great-grandchildren; Cassidy Johnson and her husband, Jordan of Cheyenne Wyoming, Jami Georg of Cincinnati, Ohio, Brayden Georg of Dayton, Ohio, Dexter Cook of Boerne, Texas, and numerous family, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Matilda Hagendorf, one son; David Leroy Hagendorf, two brothers; Willard Hagendorf, Robert Hagendorf, Jr., and lifelong best friends of 62 years; George and Martha Saur.
