Hazel Marie Dovel McAlister, 90, of Shenandoah, passed away on November 27, 2022.

She was born on December 22, 1931 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Ervin Lee and Elzy Joan Lam Dovel.

On September 2, 1950 she married, John Franklin McAlister, who preceded her in death on March 7, 1995.

A daughter, Carolyn M. Hammer of Shenandoah; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren survive her.

A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
