Richard was born July 31, 1929 in Shawano, WI to William and Amelia (Fischer) Schultz.
Dick graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan and enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Korean War.
He and the love of his life, Sandra, recently celebrated 58 years of marriage. Dick was employed at Polarware for 15 years and later retired from the Sheboygan Public School District after 28 years as a traveling, singing, custodian. He enjoyed his poker nights with the Hermanns and camping during his younger years. He liked being outdoors, putzing around in the yard, and going on Casino trips. Dick also liked crossword puzzles and word searches. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan and was an overall sports fan. Dick loved his dogs, especially his buddy, Snickers. Together, Dick and Sandra traveled the United States and Europe where they enjoyed the sights.
In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by his daughters, Jerri Sue Parra of Sheboygan, Lori Jean Zeman of Sheboygan; grandchildren, Tyler (Melissa) Parra, Stefanie (Norbie) Vogel, Zach Zeman; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Keegan Parra, Bella and Cooper Vogel; brother Elmer (Marge) Schultz; good friends Gerry and Nancy Hermann; and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Richard’s name.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 6:00 pm at Ballhorn Chapels. Rev. John Berg will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 3:00 pm until the time of service.
Dick will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an all-around good guy, a real “A-1er”.
