Wayne Pinkston, 79, lifelong resident of Shawnee, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2011. He was born February 21, 1932 to Lavell and Carrie (Brown) Pinkston in Shawnee, OK. He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age, and remained faithful to the Lord. He was employed and retired from Tinker AFB as an Electronic Equipment Specialist. Wayne was a beloved family man from a family of 13 siblings. He is survived by wife, Mary Tade-Pinkston, of the home; 2 daughters, Debbie and Steven Coy and Ronda Eck; nephew raised as a son, James and Cheryl Stinnett and their daughter Jamie; 3 stepsons, Chuck and Tami Tade, Bruce Tade, Jason and Debi Tade; 12 grandchildren, Deven, Casey and Eric Coy, Brandon and Heather Eck, Lauren and Meghan Tade, Sam Tade, Shiane Lockard, and Macy, Taylor and Sterling Tade. Wayne is also survived by 1 brother, Layton and Helen Pinkston; 4 sisters, Josephine and Bill Leister, Erma and John Keener, Emma and Don Farris and Martha Ross; 1 sister-in-law, MaeBelle Pinkston and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 infant son, Randy Wayne Pinkston; 3 brothers, Lee, Noel and Ted Pinkston; 5 sisters, Ruth Nelson, Mae Bonner, Opal Ross, Minnie Landis and Wynona Stinnett. His visitation will be 8-8pm, Tuesday, October 11th at Resthaven Funeral Home. His funeral service will be at 2pm, Wednesday, October 12th at the New Hope Baptist Church of Tecumseh with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
