Lanny Ner Middleswarth

Lanny attended Shawnee Schools then went to OBU for 2 years. He then went into the United States Navy. He honorably served his country from August 29, 1961 to February 1, 1983. Once retiring from the Navy, he went to work for the Oklahoma Tax Commission as a data processor. He enjoyed fishing and softball with the church team. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merril and Evelyn Middleswarth; second wife, Margaret Smith; daughter, Donnetta; and brother, Terry Middleswarth.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jean Middleswarth; his son, Robert Paul Middleswarth and Cathy Armstrong; son, Jeffery Wayne and Monique Middleswarth; daughter, Stephanie Louise and Bobby Lanning; daughter, Angela Marie Mankin; daughter, Edith and Jermey Winkle; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Nancy Nam; son-in-law, Jeremy Winkle, along with other family and numerous friends.

A celebration of life for Lanny will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. Following the celebration of life will be a committal service at 3:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK 74801.
