Kathryn Sue Cashat

She graduated from Prague High School in 1987. Kathryn then attended East Central University in Ada, graduating in 1991 as a registered nurse. She had a strong work ethic, she was a bedside nurse, school nursing, home health, DON at nursing facilities, and supervising and bedside nursing at mental health facilities. Spending time with her family was her favorite pastime. She also loved and would spend time with her dogs. Kathryn enjoyed watching OU sports, especially Sooner football and softball. She traveled to Eureka Springs and Disney world. You could also find her floating the river in the summer. Her greatest achievement was raising her kids and grandchild. She proudly worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years. Kathryn was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by Leroy and Loyce Cashat, Kathryn Thompson, Theresa and Jim Bailey, Pam Robinson, Eugene Cashat, Bill Thompson, and her beloved dog, Punkin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her father, Lee (Sharon) Cashat; children: Lauren (Tyler) Harris; Bailey (Michiah) Johnson; Hunter Mackey; grandchild, Preston Harris; sister, Karen (Jimmy) Ober; brother, Chad Cashat; nephews, Kyle Kesler and Jaggar Cashat; nieces: Kelsey Hutchins, Madison Dunson, and Kayleigh Cashat; dog, Cooper, along with a host of other family and friends.

A visitation for Kathryn will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1451 E 45th St, Shawnee, OK 74804. A committal service will occur Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK 74801.
