He was born on June 30, 1939 to the late Millard Titcomb and Carolyn Carroll Titcomb in Melrose, Massachusetts.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, William Titcomb.
He is survived by his son, Peter Carroll Titcomb Jr. (wife, Tracey); daughter, Julie Alene Whittemore (husband, Richard); grandchildren, Peter Carroll Titcomb III and Lillian Ann Whittemore; nephews, Timothy Titcomb and Joshua Titcomb; sister-in-law, Sharon Titcomb.
Pete graduated from Fairhaven High School and Southeastern Massachusetts University. He worked as a salesman in the textiles machinery industry before ultimately retiring in North Carolina. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren.
His immediate family will hold a private ceremony, in which his cremains will be set afloat on a Viking ship and set adrift in Mattapoisett Harbor.
