John Perkins

December 1, 1945 - February 15, 2023

John Russell Perkins, age 77, from Calabash, North Carolina and previously of Lothian, Maryland died peacefully on February 15, 2023, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

John was born in Cheverly, Maryland on December 1, 1945. He graduated from Frostburg State University and was a high school Biology Teacher, Senior Business Executive, and youth football Coach. He was a huge fan of football and played quarterback at Bladensburg High School. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed snow skiing and smoking cigars. John was best known for his humor and wit.

John is survived by his loving wife Donna Perkins of 42 years; her two sons Joseph and Dennis. His memory lives on with his daughters Mandy and Jackie; his three grandchildren Kaitlyn, Brandon, Ross; his sisters Nancy (twin sister) and Audrey; his two nieces and nephew, and many friends.

The funeral and memorial service will be a private ceremony with immediate family members present.
