Faye Smith

Mrs. Smith was born September 26, 1934 in Archibald, Louisiana, daughter of the late Frank Atkinson and Decma Maynor Atkinson. She was one of the most generous people you would have ever met. She enjoyed making things for her friends including crocheting items, always making sourdough bread, and homemade neckties. One of her favorite hobbies was making homemade purses that she sold in many cities. She was the backbone of her husband's ministry by always being by his side. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Smith, and sister Velnor Hoffman.

Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Reverend Lee Roy Smith of Supply; children, Tonya Cecil of Supply and Tamara Turner and husband Lee of Morganton; four grandchildren, Sonya Taylor, Jason Smith, Jessica Farkas (Scott), and Justin Turner; two great grandchildren, Theo Farkas and Molly Farkas; and one sister, Elouise Cecil of Thomasville.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Galloway Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from two until three o'clock at the church.
