Evelyn Janice Taylor

Janice was born in Forsyth County, North Carolina on February 14, 1931. She was a member of Sabbath Home Baptist Church in Supply. Janice retired from Duplan Corporation after 26 years, and owned Taylor Variety in East Bend, North Carolina for 10 years. Janice also taught pine needle basketry for 11 years through Brunswick Community College and worked craft shows for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Willie H. Taylor, daughter, Robin Mooney, and stepson, Jerry Taylor.

Survivors include two brothers, Roger Hill and Hilton G. Hill, Sr. both of Winston-Salem; sister, Donnie K. Cheek of Winston-Salem; step-son Fred Taylor and wife Charlene of Yadkinville; stepdaughter-in-law, Brenda Taylor of Rural Hall; son-in-law, Steve Mooney of Shallotte; six grandchildren; and many great and great great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Sabbath Home Baptist Church with Reverend Foyd Bennett officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
