This is a tribute to Etha Mae Galloway Robinson, a virtuous woman who knew that it is better to give than to receive. Her gift of hospitality and unselfish love were the benefits "all" received that knew her. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman. Her example of wife, mother, nanny, sister and friend were witnessed by so many and the "very fortunate ones" who were privileged to sit at "Nanny's kitchen table." These know of her talents and love that was shared by her and Daddy, as they served the multitude, collards, cornbread and Elroy's special ribs over and over again! No reservations were ever needed. In fact, you were to required to eat when you entered the door!!!
She was born October 10, 1931 to Thomas and Ida Galloway whom she honored as long as they lived. She was predeceased also by her loving and devoted husband of sixty-two years, Elroy. She is survived by one sister, Helen and predeceased by six sisters, Zettie, Evalena, Effie, Castille, Lyda and Hallie and one brother, Elbert.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (David) Kanoy and Carol (James) Carlisle; four grandchildren, Brett (Julie) Fulford, Chris Fulford, Caroline (John) Sauls, and Jonathan (Nina) Carlisle; and two great-grandchildren, Kailey Carlisle and Gabriel Sauls. These were her six "Little Darlings."
