Chris was born in Alamance County, NC on September 20, 1968 and was the son of Janice H. Smith of Supply and the late Jerry Hargis. He served as a volunteer firefighter with Tri-Beach Fire Department for 11 years and owned and operated Hargis Trucking and Site Work.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mayana R. Hargis of the home; a daughter, Julia Hargis of Supply; two sisters, Michelle Crooks of Supply and Megan Garner of Belton, SC; and a brother-in-law, Jay Howard Robinson of Supply.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the Lou White Memorial Chapel of White Funeral and Cremation Service, Shallotte Chapel with Reverend Johnie Hinson officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
