Cheryl was born December 11, 1959 in Brunswick County, daughter of the late Lonnie Carl Milliken and Jackie Brown Clemmons. She graduated West Brunswick High School in 1978. Cheryl was independent and hard-working. She worked at Hardee's in Brunswick County for 38 years where she never met a stranger. Her contagious laugh could be heard all around and her smile lit up a room. Cheryl was not blessed with grandchildren so she loved on her nieces, great nieces and great nephews calling them her "babies." In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Craig Milliken.
Survivors include her husband William Danny Stanley of Ash; son Jason Thomas Stanley of Ash; nieces, Linda Kay Milliken and fiance' Charles Street, Sr. of Holden Beach, Jaclyn Danielle Milliken and fiance' Michael Justin Edward Donovan of Supply, and Samantha Hewett of Supply; great nephews, Charles Street, Jr., Daniel Edward Street, and Jackson Craig Street; great nieces, Payton Gray Donovan, Jackie Lynn Street, and Alexis Kay Hill; and sister, Deborah Hewett of Supply; and her canine furbabies, River, Storm, CoCo, Little Bit, and Rocky.

To all our family and friends, I would like to invite you to our Celebration Of Life Service being held in honor of my mother Cheryl Stanley on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from twelve o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening at Waccamaw Community Building, 5855 Waccamaw School Road, Ash, North Carolina. The Community Building is located next to the park entrance. Please come share your memories and experiences of her, she was an amazing woman and mother, aunt, sister and friend. She will be missed but will be in our minds and hearts forever. Also, dress casual, please come you are, as if Mom would see you.
