Abigail "Abby" Maree Perry

Abby was born on October 8, 1995 on a harvest moon in Supply, North Carolina.

She graduated as salutatorian from West Brunswick High School in 2013, an active member of the school’s dance team as well as several other clubs. She then graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2017, with a major in psychology. After undergrad, Abby spent her time as a beloved coworker at Vision Square Eye Care, while she prepared to apply to optometry school. She attended Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with an expected graduation year of 2025. She excelled academically and was soon to be inducted into the university’s Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Optometry was Abby’s passion, and it allowed her to create long lasting friendships and relationships with both her faculty and peers.

One could often find Abby spending time at the beach with her mom and her friends, reading a plethora of books, and having countless Harry Potter movie marathons.

Abby was preceded in death by her Mommom, June Clark Robinson, of Holden Beach, who passed away in 2014. Abby is survived by her mother and stepfather, April Denise Robinson and Michael Orzell, both of Shallotte; her Poppop, Jesse Cromwell Robinson, Jr. (“Billy”) of Holden Beach; aunt, Lisa Ward of Longwood; two cousins, Coby Walker and Jay Ward; and her two special friends, Summer Williamson Powell of Ocean Isle Beach, and Amanda Kane Davinson of Columbia, South Carolina. She is also survived by her furry companion of 13 years, Baby Robinson.

Abby left a lasting impression on all those who knew her and her legacy will live on in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at three o’clock in the afternoon at Camp United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
