Roy I Melita

After his family's immigration to New York, Roy went on to receive his Masters degree in Business from NYU Stern School of Business and had an affluent career as a merchant captain.

He found importance in support to the St. Petersburg Liberian Society where Roy's late son, Anthony, was a member.

Roy is predeceased by his son, Anthony Lansana Melita.

Roy is survived by his grandson, Rosario Melita Zayzay aka Morris Zayzay; granddaughter, Satta Zayzay; great grandson, Anthony Renshaw Zayzay aka Anthony Lansana Renshaw. He will also be missed by his dear friends, Ellie Lebohner and Michael Peters.

A visitation for Roy will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, 7950 131 Street North, Seminole, FL 33776. A funeral service will immediately follow where Roy will be laid to rest along with his late son, Anthony, at Garden Sanctuary Memorial Park, 7950 131 Street North, Seminole, FL 33776.
