Lewis R. Smith, 87, of Seminole, Florida, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida. He was born in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Florida in 1971 from Detroit, Michigan, where he retired as a police officer from the Detroit Police Dept. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, and a member of Alliance Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice; a daughter, Beverley Strance of LaGrange, Illinois; a brother, James L. Smith of Fairview, Tennessee; a sister, Margaret McClehen of Canton, Michigan; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
