Robert Joe Larison, 72, of Seguin, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, December 23, 2013 from a sudden and unexpected massive heart-attack. He was born Thursday, September 25, 1941 in Seguin, Texas to Elmer and Jerrell Mary Larison.
Mr. Larison proudly served in the United States Army and was a decorated Marksman (Rifle) who assisted in commanding military operations until his Honorable Discharge.
He was a member of Kingsbury Baptist Church in Kingsbury, Texas. He grew-up in Seguin and made it his home once again after retiring from the City of Houston. He enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors with his dogs.
His first love was his family and the love of his life, Linda Faye Mancuso whom he married on June 12, 1965. His greatest joy was the soulful peace he felt when all his family was together because he so deeply loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Faye Mancuso-Larison; Son, Robert Jasper Larison & Fiance' Michelle ("Chelle") Brewer, grand-children; Dawn Michelle Willis & Husband, Thomas Willis and their son, Braydon, Justin Robert Alan, Brittani James, Shelby Lynn, Alexander Alan, Drew Miles and Alexandra Huff; Daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Brian Petrosky of Needville, Texas; grand-son,Tyler Vincent Petrosky; and Daughter, Elizabeth Larison & Fiance' Patrick Howard of Kingsbury, Texas, grand-children, NyNave Jean & Lily Ann Larison. Brother and sister-in-law; Wendell & Marsha Brooks of San Antonio, Texas; nephew and wife, Jason & Stephanie Brooks and their son Aidan Larison Brooks; niece and husband, Lindsey & Jeremy Lucas and their daughters, Chloe' and Payton Lucas and nephew & wife, Casey and LeAnne Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Jerrell Mary Larison and his baby-grandson, Trenton Alan Larison.
A public viewing is provided at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin, Texas for Friday, December 27, 2013 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, December 28, 2013 a grave-side services with full Military honors will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. A lunch reception will follow at Kingsbury Baptist Church in Kingsbury, Texas.
