Pat was born in Jersey City, NJ, to Stella & John Jancze. Pat grew up and lived in Secaucus for most of her life. For 12 years, Pat was a crossing guard in Secaucus. Although she will be sorely missed, remembering Pat will be easy as she has made many memories over the years that will last a lifetime.
May she always be remembered by the fun pool parties she use to have in her backyard, her love of Shirley Temple and Betty Boop, her great dancing skills, her infectious smile, her one-of-a-kind (often inappropriate) sense of humor, her delicious cooking, especially her cheesecakes and cream puffs, her love to sunbathe and sit by the pool or on the beach, her unique crafting skills, and the love she had for her friends and family.
Pat is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard (Chipper) Henkel; her mother, Stella Jancze (nee Just); father, John Jancze; and brother, Paul Jancze.
Pat is survived by her husband of 33 years, Kenny Haerle; son, Rich Henkel; sister, Barbara Totaro, and her husband, Michael; brother, Eugene Jancze; grandchildren, Richard Henkel, Jessica Henkel, James Henkel, and Annaliese Henkel; nieces, Diana Kowlessar and her husband Mikhail, Lisa Castronovo and her husband Bobby, and Jenna Totaro; her great-nieces and nephews, Juliette, Savannah, Sophie, Noah and Joseph; and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October 12, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mack Memorial Home in Secaucus, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family of Pat wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Andrew Gumbs for prolonging her life after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2015.
