Joan F. Leier

Born in Hell's Kitchen, NY to Charlotte and James Gaughran.

Joan was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Frank Leier.

Joan went to Weehawken High School; after graduating Joan married her high school sweetheart Frank. They Lived their lives in Secaucus where they raised their 4 children.

She is survived by her son, Frank Leier and his wife Susan, and three daughters Charlene and her husband Dennis Dernbach, Jo-Anne and her husband Mark Caruselle, and Karyn and her husband Dominick Pace; she was also the loving grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 8. You may remember her for her fabulous cooking at Secaucus High School or her beautiful smile at the Rag Shop.

Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, playing cards, laughing and listening to music. Because of Joan's great love for all animals, especially dogs, her family has decided to donate her pacemaker to save a dog in need.

A viewing for Joan will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 9:30 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus. Following Mass we will accompany Joan to her final resting place at Hillside Cemetery, 742 Rutherford Ave, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071.
