Bill was born February 1,1925 in Seattle Washington to Otis and Louise Hancock. He was raised in Seattle and graduated from Roosevelt High school. Following high school Bill enrolled in the Navy and served in the pacific in WWII. Following his Navy service Bill attended the University of Washington graduating with a degree in Finance.
Mom and Dad settled in Seattle and moved to Issaquah in 1968 and in 1984 they built a beautiful house and finally settled in Sammamish.
Dad enjoyed the outdoors, The Seahawks, Mariners and Husky’s. He was a private pilot for over fifty yrs, even owning his own aircraft. He was very active in the Issaquah and Redmond Rotary as well as the Mason’s. He was also loved playing golf at the Sahalee country club. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his son Ronald Hancock and daughter in law Cheryl Beamsderfer of Sammamish, Grandchildren Justin, Jesse, Thomas, Andrew, Elizabeth and Cheyenne. Eleven great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son Tom in 1989 and beloved wife Bettie in 2012.
