Tomas Geluz Landas, born on March 7, 1935, in Imus, Cavite, Philippines, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Bothell, WA, December 5, 2024.
Tomas dedicated 22 years of active service as a US Navy Disbursing Clerk Chief Petty Officer (DKC) serving in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. Following his military career, he continued his commitment to public service, working for 24 years in civil service roles with the Veterans Administration and the Department of the Navy until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of over 40 years, Edna; his second wife, Aida; his siblings, David, Nene and Francisco. He is survived by his third wife, Asuncion; his daughter, Daisy; and his son, Steve (Marian). Tomas was a cherished grandfather to Tayler, Austin, Nathan, and Sarah. He was stepfather to Angelica, Armisti (Cyril), Allen (Jasmin), and Alexius. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins in both the U.S. and the Philippines.
Tomas' unwavering faith, spirited enthusiasm for life and devotion to his family will be profoundly missed. He will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, followed by Funeral Services on Monday, December 16, at 10:00 AM. Both events will take place at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
