Shari, as she was known to her friends, was born on April 2, 1939 in Seattle WA. Shari graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended the University of Washington. In 1959 she married Gary Foote. Over their 47 years of marriage they lived in Seattle, Redmond and Bellevue, WA where they raised their children and built and ran their retail businesses. Together, she and Gary enjoyed boating, traveling and spending time with family. Once retired, they split their time between La Conner, WA and Palm Desert, CA.
At the young age of 37 Shari developed breast cancer. She become a volunteer for the “Reach to Recovery” program of the American Cancer Society. For many years she helped women cope with breast cancer.
Shari was also wonderfully creative. She enjoyed painting, sewing, cooking, gardening and decorating. Shari took pride in her home and was a devoted mother and grandma. She was the heart and soul of her family, always there to guide us. We will miss her beautiful smile, strong spirit and unwavering love.
Shari was preceded in death by her parents, Norm and La Retta Gessert, her husband Gary Foote and son Craig Foote. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn (Jeff) Marshall, son Brian (Jennifer) Foote and her 4 grandchildren, Mike Marshall , Elizabeth Marshall, Peter Foote and Margaret Foote.
