Born in Yakima, Washington on December 28th, 1936 to parents Allen and Grace Talcott, the family, along with sister Janet, settled in the Haller Lake neighborhood of Seattle in 1943. Shortly after Allen’s teenage daughter, Gloria, came to live with them. Sandra graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954 and went on to attend the University of Washington where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
She met the love of her life, Warren, in high school. They wed in 1956 and had three children, Gail, Linda and Ray. They lived in North Seattle before building a home in Edmonds. Warren’s job took them on a three-year adventure to Hawaii. Sandy loved the tropical climate and Hawaiian culture. Additional memories were made skiing at Crystal Mountain, camping trips throughout the Northwest and summers at the family property on Bainbridge Island.
Once the children were grown, Sandy worked for the Shoreline School District in various support positions. After retirement, Sandy and Warren moved to a townhouse in Shoreline. They travelled throughout the United States and Europe, spent time in Sun Valley and made many lasting memories with family and friends at their beach house the in South Sound.
They most recently moved to a retirement community in Lynnwood.
Sandy loved to read, garden, cook and bake. Her family will especially remember her when preparing the recipes that she has passed on through the generations. Sandy’s sweet personality shone through as she deeply loved her family and friends. Spending time with Warren and their precious family brought her the most joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Allen and Grace Talcott, her sister Gloria Maddox and her son-in-law Steven Campagna.
