Ronald S. “Ron” Levinsohn was born on July 10, 1932 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and passed away on September 4, 2013 at home, surrounded by his family. He attended Culver Military Academy, served in the United States Marine Corps and
was a member of the Fleet Marine Force Pacific and the 1st Marine Division. Ron was a graduate of Pasadena City
College and Los Angeles State College.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorreen; and their four children: Roni (Michael) Ziegler, Gini Burr, Al (Raine)
Levinsohn, and Shellie (Dave) Hutzenbiler; and ten grandchildren: Michael (Jessica), Kristen and Katie Ziegler,
Brandon and Aaron Burr, Lena Peloso and Paige Levinsohn, Jessica (Daniel) White, and Quinton and Riley Manus
and two great-grandsons, Pax and Abel.
Ron was a member of the Washington Athletic Club, Seattle Skeet and Trap Club,
Washington Arms Collectors and The American Legion.
A private internment will be held at Acacia Mausoleum. On September 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., all are invited to a
Celebration of Ron’s Life at 525 - 143rd St. S.W. Lynnwood, WA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Evergreen Hospice Foundation 12040 NE 128th
St. M/S 5 Kirkland, WA 98034.
