On October 24, 2024, Ronald (Ron) Ray Baker passed away in his sleep after fighting Alzheimer’s disease for several years. Ron spent most of his life in the Seattle area, graduating from Ballard High School in 1965 and attending the University of Washington, majoring in Business Administration.
Ron was an avid Dawgs fan, being a Husky football season ticket holder and spending most fall Saturdays cheering on his favorite team. Ron was a natural salesman and entrepreneur, founding two successful copier sales companies, United Business Systems and Quality Business Systems. Retiring in 1996, he moved to Ocean Shores, one of his favorite places. Ron worked tirelessly but still always managed to be a very present father, coaching his son’s and daughter’s baseball, football, and softball teams. He thrived in making a positive impact on the youth in his community as a coach and mentor.
Ron was a loving and supportive husband to his one true love, Linda Lee. Ron treasured the water and always wanted to be near it. He lived on Lake Sammamish and later on Duck Lake, near the ocean in Ocean Shores. Ron was an amazing man with an incredibly loving and caring heart. He was one of the most giving and nurturing people one could meet. He found sobriety in his thirties and was heavily involved in AA for years. With sobriety, Ron also found Jesus, following Him faithfully until his last breath.
Ron is survived by: his wife of 55 years, Linda, his two children, Jeff and Lisa, and his five grandchildren, Maddox, Justice, Anabella, Dasia, and Jaidan. Ron’s celebration of life will be held at the Woodinville Alliance Church on November 30th from 2 to 4 pm. We will always love you, as deep as the ocean and as wide as the sky.
