Ivan (Peter) Oxford was born on July 5, 1919 in Portland, Oregon. His mother placed him in an orphanage at birth. Fortunately, his grandmother was able to take him in at the age of 10. He grew up with a very special relationship with his grandmother.
Later in life, Peter joined the Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. He served in both WWII and the Korean War. Once out of the military he became a fraud investigator in California.
He moved to Washington and met Sharon, his wife, in 1991 at a church service. They were married for 20 years and shared a deep, romantic love. He has two step daughters, Connie and Tammy, and five grandchildren.
Peter loved people and talked with anyone who would listen. He genuinely cared for everyone around him. For many years he was active in the Masonic Order and the Nile Shrine.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
