Nancy, 86, of Renton, WA passed from this earth on 9/20/2023. She was born on 7/12/1937 in Ellensburg, WA to Harold Gordon Hanks and Rosella Bell. She attended Washington High School in Brainerd, MN, class of 1955. At the age of 18 she joined the U.S. Navy and served for two and a half years. After getting married she also served 17 and a half years in the Washington State Air National Guard.
Nancy married Robert Lee Leyerle, Sr. 6/21/1957 and was married to him for 66 years. She has three children, Robert Lee Leyerle, Jr. of Yakima, WA, Deanna Lynn O’Reilly of Spokane, WA and Daniel Roland Leyerle of Star, NC.
Both of her parents and a brother, Harold Gordon Hanks, Jr. have already passed away. She is survived by her three children, her husband and her sister Linda Shrofe of Spokane, WA.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
