For the past two years MJ was a 4.0 average student at Shoreline Community College studying sustainable energy. He made the President's List every semester. He loved reading and cooking for himself, especially stir fry. He also had a passionate love for the Seahawks, and his motorbike. His great memory for events and details often astounded his family and friends and especially his grandparents, with whom he maintained a close relationship.
MJ was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Kuxhouse, who died in May 1999. He is survived by his father, Michael B. Higman and wife Elaine, his sister Amanda Batey, brother Jesse Sullivan, brother Joe Higman, grandparents John and Juanita McKinnon and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Isabelle.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Friday, February 15th at 11 am at Yarington’s Funeral Home, 10708 16th Ave SW in Seattle. A reception will follow at 1pm at Yarington’s.
