Beany Foster died November 2nd, 2012, with her family at her side. She was the youngest of three children of Marian McEachern Dawson and Edwin Dawson and was born in Great Falls, Montana, August 20, 1937. The family moved to Seattle when she was a child and settled in Windermere. Beany and her many friends spent happy summers at both the Windermere Beach Club and Shining Mountain Ranch in Montana. Beany graduated from Saint Nicholas School in 1955 and from Centenary College for Women in 1957. After returning to the Northwest, she married and lived in Beaux Arts Village, where her son Greg was born. Her activities included golf, cards, travel and in particular, entertaining her friends and family. Beany was a founding member of the Helen Morrison Guild of Children's Hospital and a member of the Junior League of Seattle. She enjoyed her long time association with both the Seattle Tennis Club and the Sunset Club. Beany is survived by her beloved son, Greg, and grandchildren, Kellen, Zach, Jamison and Shea. Nieces Wendy, Lee and Cindy survive her along with her dear cousins Elizabeth, Marsha and Scotty. Beany's family, including her companion dog Watson, thank her devoted caregivers, Irina, Mahilet, Fathia and Liza.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of the Epiphany, 1805 - 38th Avenue, Seattle, at 11:00 am on December 1st, 2012. Remembrances may be made to Seattle Children's Hospital Foundation, M/S S 200, P.O. Box 5371, Seattle, WA, 98145-5005.
