Jeffrey Frank Arthur

Jeffrey Frank Arthur, 42, of Bothell, Washington, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2020, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born on March 14, 1978, in Bellevue, Washington, to Douglas and Lynn Arthur.

Jeff attended Assumption-St. Bridget School (’92), for grade school Seattle Preparatory School (’96) for high school, and then went on to the University of Washington (’00) for college.

Prior to Jeff going on full disability, Jeff was the alumni director at Seattle Preparatory School from 2005-2008.

In 1998, Jeff was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. He was the strongest person, having never complained once about his disease and the troubles it brought him throughout his life. Jeff persevered through every obstacle that was presented to him.

In 2001, Jeff married Jennifer Arthur, his high school sweetheart, and in 2006, they welcomed twin daughters, Samantha and Natalie. Jeff loved and adored his family immensely. Even though Jeff was never able to physically see Samantha and Natalie play sports, he thoroughly enjoyed hearing about their accomplishments in playing basketball and volleyball. Jeff always looked forward to Friday Family Movie Night.

Jeff had a passion for sports. He enjoyed coaching CYO volleyball and basketball, and high school football. In addition to coaching, Jeff loved when family came over to watch the Huskies, Mariners, and Seahawks. Jeff had an uncanny ability to remember any and all random sports facts, and you could always expect to see him watching a sports game on TV, even if it was a replay.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his daughters, Samantha and Natalie; his mom, Lynn Arthur, and his brother, Craig Arthur (Marie). He is also survived by many extended family members: In-laws, Gary and Regina Chewning; sister-in-laws, Monica (Matt) Gelder, Erica (JR) Perrott, and Heather (Billy) Rasmussen; nieces and nephews, Abby, Drew, Ben, Mackenzie, Jessica, Jacob, Alex, and Lydia. Jeff is also survived by friends who he considered family: Max, Rudy, Scott, and Adam.

At this time, there will not be a service due to the pandemic restrictions. Once restrictions are lifted, a funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Jeff Arthur to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society- Seattle Chapter.
