Jaswinder Singh

Jaswinder Singh, son of Sardar Ajit Singh Grewal and Amar Kaur Grewal was born in Kasba Bhural, Punjab, India. He resided in the greater Seattle area for the past 25 years. Jaswinder passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Tanvir Kaur and daughter, Harneet Grewal. Jaswinder accumulated many accomplishments and achievements during the course of his life. He attended Guru Nanak Engineering College Ludhiana and received his Bachelors in Engineering and Masters in Mechanical Engineering. Jaswinder then briefly went on to become an engineering professor at GNE. Jaswinder then came to America in 1990. He pursued his Masters of Business (MBA), which he successfully attained in 2010. An avid learner and student for life, he attended Stanford and UCLA for certifications in Business Management and Business Strategy. He was employed at Boeing for a total of 23 years. Jaswinder was a dearly loved and highly respected father and husband. He was very supportive, optimistic and family oriented. Jaswinder was a God-fearing man, devout to his faith. He studied theology and had a vast network of friends from all faiths, and walks of life. Furthermore, Jaswinder was a prominent leader in the Sikh community for many years. He served as the President and Vice President for the Gurdwara Singh Sabha of Renton for a total of six years. From helping members of the community that were in need, securing financials, or even remodeling, Jaswinder enthusiastically volunteered his time and expertise. As a generous individual, Jaswinder had many notable causes he was dedicated to for decades, and as a result he was on the board of multiple charities. A few causes Jaswinder loved were the Wounded Warrior Project, Feed the Hungry, the Olympics, St.Jude’s Children’s Research, Red Cross, and UNICEF. He was also very supportive of local law enforcement for the past 15 years. A funeral service was held for Jaswinder on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. Following the service was a bhog (prayer) - 2:30PM at the Gurdwara Singh Sabha of Renton, 5200 Talbot Rd S, Renton, WA 98055. There will also be a recording of the livestream link available below.
