Jim was born to Cresencio Mabale Sr. and Lourdes Ostrea Saldivar on August 3rd, 1943 in Balaoan, La Union, Philippines. He married his love, Marcela (Ancheta) Mabale, on August 6, 1969. Their two sons, Jonathan (1971) and Michael (1974), were born before Marcela immigrated to the United States in 1974. Jim and their sons followed one year after, in October 1975, and had their daughter, Jennifer, in 1977. They raised their family in Southern California before moving to Washington state in 1996, where they have lived for the past 26 years.
Jim was an engineer in the oil and energy industry for 37 years, working for Fluor, Texaco, and Chevron, and consulting for several years, traveling to different parts of the country and Canada. He retired from SNC Lavalin in 2011. In retirement, Jim loved gardening with his wife, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Jim was preceded in death by his father Cresencio Sr., mother Lourdes, and brothers Manoling (Cresencio Jr.) and Gideon. He is survived by his devoted wife Marcela, his three children, their spouses and six grandchildren: Jonathan, and wife Heather, and Simon (5); Michael and wife, Catherine Wilson, and Ffion (18) and Aneurin (15); Jennifer and husband, Russell Klenetsky, and Sophia (17), Giavanna (6), and Isla (5). He is also survived by his siblings: Delfin Saldivar, Loida Peralta, Celito Saldivar, Angeles Monje.
