The eldest of seven children, Frank was the son of Raymond and Rosemary Siderius, who preceded him in death in 2016-17. Described by family and friends as a loving and caring person of strong faith, Frank was a role model for many. He was humble, unselfish, and kind and could be counted on for help whenever needed. Always generous with his time, he volunteered as a soccer coach for many years with St. Anne School and Special Olympic Soccer teams. He was on the boards of Banchero Disability Partners, which provides services for developmentally disabled adults, Doney Coe Pet Clinic, which serves animals in need that belong to unhoused people, and N.W. Boy Choir where two of his children sang for many years.
A highly respected Seattle lawyer, he practiced law for many years with his Dad, Raymond Siderius, and brother Mike Siderius, at Siderius, Lonergan and Martin LLP. He has been recognized as a Washington Super Lawyer by Washington Law and Politics Magazine. Frank founded the Legal Action Center (part of Catholic Community Services), through which he did a significant amount of pro-bono work for those who could not afford legal help. He provided free legal services for Cristo Rey School.
Frank graduated from St. Anne Grade School, Seattle Prep, Seattle University, and Gonzaga Law School.
Frank’s greatest joy was his children and grandchildren and took pleasure in watching his grandchildren play baseball, soccer, football and rowing, as well as attending musical theatre performances and hula dancing. Frank loved traveling with his wife and was able to take several dream trips together over their 27 years together. This includes many fun and memorable trips with dear friends that brought so much joy to him.
Frank is survived by Maureen “Mo” Mershon, the love of his life, his children, Matt Siderius and Annie Pool (Erik); Samantha Stack (Tim), John Jacobsen, and Mads Jacobsen; five grandchildren, Elliot and Quinten Pool and Savvy, Juliette and Gavin Stack six siblings: Barbara Hubbard (Mike), Mary Sherman (Dan), Joan McDonagh (Gary), John Siderius (Angela), Diane Kocer (Dan) and Mike Siderius (Kelly); and numerous nieces and nephews. Fondly known as “Papa” to his kids and grandkids, and “best-big-brother-ever” to his siblings, “best man that ever lived” to his wife and friend to so many, Frank will be dearly missed. We find comfort in knowing he is now with his Mom and Dad and granddaughter Gabby.
Spending his whole life in Seattle, it is not lost on all who loved him that his departing at 7:47 was a beautiful sign. Fly on Frank.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00pm Thursday, November 16th and the Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am Friday, November 17th, with a reception following in Banchero Hall at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1411 1st Ave W, Seattle 98119.
