Born January 3, 1910, in Portland, OR, Emma moved with her family to Woodinville in 1925 where her parents together with her brother-in-law, Dominic Vitulli, purchased a 21-acre farm.
In 1929 Emma married Tony Vitulli, a cousin of her brother-in-law. The young couple initially lived and worked in downtown Seattle before moving to Woodinville where Tony farmed with his father-in-law and brother-in-law.
Tony soon became a partner in nearby Zanassi Farm where the couple lived for the next 34 years. Emma was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking Italian dinners for family and friends. She also enjoyed tending her vegetable and flower gardens. Upon retiring the couple built a home in Woodinville. Emma lived at this home until 2000 when she moved to a senior residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985.
Emma is survived by two sons: Dick (Irene) of Kenmore and Frank (Frances) of Sacramento, CA as well as six grandchildren: Darrel of Snohomish; Kevin (Jayne) of Wenatchee; Darcy Muzzy (Kirk) of Kirkland; Paul (Jennifer) of Seattle; Elizabeth Weinseimer (Rip) of New Hope, PA; and Teresa of Philadelphia. There are six great-grandchildren: Anthony and Nicholas Vitulli; Kelley Stearns, Jane and Philip Weinseimer and Thomas Vitulli.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 11 at 11:30 a.m. at Blessed Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 17856 NE Woodinville-Duvall Road, Woodinville, WA.
