Dennis Ray Lair

He retired from UPS after 29 years and received three Gold Eagle Awards for being in the top 3 percent of UPS’s worldwide sales force. He played basketball for Ballard HS and Edmonds CC. He was an avid UW Husky fan. His most memorable times were playing fast pitch softball with his two brothers and dear lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Herman Lair, mother Martha Tremain, stepfather Paul Tremain, brother Leonard Lair (Vivian), sisters Shirley Fectau (John), Barbara James (Bob), and his twin Donna Webb.

He is survived by his brother Larry Lair (Jean), sister Betty Chalker, his loving wife of 30 years Melissa Lair, daughters Deanna Lair and Mackenzie Cox, granddaughters Samantha, Brooklynn and Sonia who brought so much love and joy to their “Poppy” and many nieces and nephews He was blessed with many friends who loved and encouraged him through his courageous cancer battle.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 23, 2022 from 1-4pm at Woodside Lodge, 330 S. 48th St. in Mt. Vernon, WA 98274.
