Catherine Bowman was born in Seattle WA August 25, 1921 and lived in Index WA and Snohomish county. She graduated from Everett High School and worked at Paine Field with her sister Ethel and father Roy during WWII. There she met her husband Robert Koch from Detroit, MI. After the war, they lived in Klamath Falls, Oregon where their first son Michael was born. They moved to Seattle WA and second son, Robert Jr. was born.
Catherine worked for more than 30 years as a secretary for the Shoreline School District. After retirement, she and her husband traveled extensively to Asia, Europe and South America. They took cruises, drove around the United States and especially loved their many trips to Hawaii.
Catherine was preceded in death by her son Michael and husband Robert.
She is survived by son, Robert, five granddaughters: Jody, Amy, Christy, Zerrin and Aidan, and seven great grandchildren.
She loved flowers and weeds. She drew comfort and amusement from her pet dogs and watching and feeding hummingbirds and the crows in her back yard. She was known for her spunk, her generosity, and the twinkle in her eye.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00PM at Acacia Memorial Park, 14951 Bothell Way NE, Seattle WA.
Because of her love of animals, memorial donations in her name can be made to The Humane Society.
