He was born in 1936 in Oracle, AZ and moved to Rancho San Carlos, Carmel Valley, CA in 1942 and remained in Monterey County for 60+ years.
In the early 1950's he attended Monterey High School and served in the US Navy. Upon his return he worked as a Butcher/Meat Manager for Salinas/Monterey Albertson's for 35 years. Edward was a loving father and grandfather who encouraged and supported all his children. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren compete in junior rodeo's, team roping's and sports. He also enjoyed working on his ranch in Red Bluff, driving his tractor and enjoying his dogs and horses. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and The American Legion.
Preceded in death by his wife, Sherri (Seever) Acevedo; first born son Dario Acevedo; father Dario Acevedo, mother Sarah Acevedo and sisters Helen Avila, Bernadine Page and Claudia Leibert.
He is survived by his six children: Audrey (Steve) Cline, Julie (Jeff) Nielsen, Edward Acevedo, Jr., Frederick (Jacqueline) Acevedo, Joseph (Gina) Acevedo and Jayme Acefedo; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He leaves behind sisters Angie (Ron) Builta, Jane Vaughn, Linda (Walt) Brown and numerous nephews and nieces.
